The Jerdon's bush chat (''Saxicola jerdoni'') is a species of bird in the family Muscicapidae.
The common name commemorates the surgeon-naturalist Thomas C. Jerdon.
==Distribution==
Jerdon's bush chats have an extremely large range and are native to Bangladesh, China, India, Laos, Nepal, Thailand and Vietnam. They are possibly extinct in Myanmar.〔BirdLife International (2009) ''Saxicola jerdoni''. In: IUCN 2010. IUCN Red List of Threatened Species. Version 2010.1.〕
Still present in small numbers at Inle Lake, Shan State Myanmar on 22 February 2011. (M.Lindop, personal observations).
